D. JAE GOLD CA, CPA - The now retired Accountant To The Stars, my husband, started an Entertainment Accounting firm together in the late 80's. If I couldn't make my living writing music and singing on stage ("-" ) , and Jae could not make a living as an artist, then we wanted to work in the business of music and entertainment. We built a cultural industries accounting practice. The practice grew and I joined him as Administrative Partner in 2000 . From the end of Dec 2019 D. JAE GOLD CA. CPA has fully retired from public practice as of 2019 and for my business management ended Dec of 2020.
We have been blessed to work with, and meet outstanding talent in all of the entertainment areas - film, TV, music and all the performing arts as well as sports. We never felt that this was "work", and always enjoyed helping our clients by providing as much financial advice and tax planning as possible. Fast Forward to the year 2020 and Jae and I moved to a consulting and teaching role, well mostly Jae -:), because I am a songwriter, at GOLD MUSIC CONSULTANTS and GOLDMUSIC AGENCY where I will be working with Music Supervisors with cleared independent music for media placement. Of course, we are both thrilled to have our new roles within this industry with the same mission statement to help this community, feel inspired and look forward to the future.
